What is the Humble Games Collection?

The Humble Games Collection is another perk of Humble Bundle’s Humble Choice subscription service. The focal point of the subscription is a monthly bundle of games that subscribers can add to their Steam libraries, but the Humble Games Collection gives subscribers access to even more games. The collection is a catalog of over 50 different PC indie games that subscribers available through the Humble PC app, and Humble Games-published titles are released on the platform day one.

The collection offers all sorts of different indie games for subscribers, and the library is always growing. Right now, subscribers can check out games like A Hat in Time, Forager, Void Bastards, and Crying Suns among many others. Signalis is just the latest addition to the service, and it promises to boost the horror side of the collection in time for Halloween.

Humble Choice Subscribers Can Check Out Signalis

Signalis is described as a classic survival horror experience set in a dystopian future. Players take control of Elster, a technician Replika looking for her lost partner and her lost dreams. She must go on an adventure across the world to discover the truth, but it will not be easy as the game promises challenging puzzles, nightmarish creatures, and terrifying secrets throughout. While it may not be as lifelike as games like The Medium, it should offer a hair-raising horror experience that players want to check out.

Signalis is mostly a top-down experience, and the developer has branded it more of a psychological horror. Players should not go into the game expecting jump scares around every corner, but they can expect a very eerie sci-fi adventure that will have them clamoring for limited resources to survive. The combat is very reminiscent of Resident Evil 1, but in a more sci-fi aesthetic.

This will mark the first major release for rose-engine, and time will tell if it is able to deliver on scares. It is just one of many horror games being offered to gamers this October, coming out on October 27 for both the Humble Games Collection and Xbox Game Pass on day one. Many have said PS Plus needs to step up its game in regard to indies and classics, so it could take a page from Humble Games dropping a perfect treat for those who want to play through a brand-new horror game this Halloween.

Signalis releases on October 27 on PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
